What I Wore
I am writing to you from Wilmington, NC and as I said in a previous post, this weekend was the biggest one in these parts. It’s called the Azalea Festival and it’s all pomp and circumstance. We get dressed up in bold colors, big hats and attend parties such as the invite only Garden Party. This is Southern style at it’s very best! Men looking dandy and women looking delightful. Here is my boss and bestie Elisha and I celebrating the big event. What did I wear?
A Pink Zara Circular Oxford Blazer, 1969 GAP denim-washed garment dye khakis slim fit in Red Rose (sold out online and nearly everywhere else, mine were shipped from NYC by another of my besties), Peter Millar navy blue plaid dress shirt, Ted Baker red and baby blue polka dot tie, pink and gold H&M silk pocket square, Zara black skinny leather belt and last but certainly not least is my Elvis moment, my blue suede Donald J Pliner Italian dress shoes.
The shoes have red soles with peace signs all over them and I wore them sockless and never felt more comfortable or cool. The shoes and shirt were purchased locally at Gentlemen’s Corner in Lumina Station. Click any of the items to find similar pieces I sourced out for you and go to www.ohbeaute.blogspot.com to find out more about Elisha’s outfit.
